Audi voted "Best Manufacturer"

Audi was voted "Best Manufacturer" in the 2006 British Insurance car security awards.

The 2006 Audi A6 sedan took the "Executive Car" award.


The insurance award, according to Thatcham, means Audi delivers the highest level of security across its range for "theft of" and "theft from" using new vehicle security rating stars.

The award categories, selection criteria and methodology are backed by British auto insurers, the British department for transport and other security-related bodies

Audi UK brand director Jeremy Hicks said: "I am delighted that Audi has taken the top honour for its work in countering one of the most unpleasant hazards we all face as motorists.

"We have gone to great lengths to minimise the risk of car theft."
