Tar Removal
I thought i would kick off the Mod section of the site with an article on removing tar from your paint since it's now spring and after a cold canadian winter it's time to clay bar the car. More on clay baring on a later article.
Anyway back to the topic at hand. In the past, removing tar has taken a lot of time for me in the past, I have tried the clay bar which doesn't really work. I have tried my nails, which worked OK but I'm a guy and my nails don't really last because they are so small.
I have tried "goo be gone" and that has worked with the help of my nails.
This year, I'm going to take a two pronged attack.
I'm first going to try Mineral Spirits. Apparently it works really well on fresh tar and it's availible at Home Depot.
The second thing I'm going to try is Stoner Tarminator. Although it might be hard to find. Canadian Tire doesn't sell it.

Yeah, I've tried a lot of things too. I asked my father who's a chemist and he had such a simple answer, and it works perfectly with no scrubbing, or effort. Gasoline. Make sure to use it in a well ventilated area, but it takes the tar right off.
