2007 Jetta TDI Review

PETE 'N' PAM reviewThe 2007 Jetta TDI

Target audience: Youngish, techie men and women seem to love the VW diesels, but VW's TDI marketing casts a wide net.

Highs: Pete – Fuel efficiency, driving dynamics, ergonomics. Pam – Personality, spunk.

Lows: Pete – Styling, price, diesel fuel mess, untested reliability. Pam – Diesel image, exterior design, engine sound.

Bottom line: Pete – Friendly European diesel hopes to win over skeptical Americans. Pam – Who cares if diesel is $5 a gallon?
